Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected statewide today.
Any thunderstorms may contain frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall.
A localized case of flash flooding is possible today, particularly in the eastern Big Bend where rainfall amounts may top 3-5”.
There is a high rip current risk for all Panhandle and most West Coast beaches today.
The wildfire threat remains moderate statewide.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 10.91 feet, which is 2.23 feet below normal for this time of year.
