Meteorological Summary:
  • The heavy rainfall threat continues across North Florida and spreads into Central Florida today.
  • Flash Flood Watches are in effect for the Panhandle and Big Bend where localized totals of 3-6” are possible today.
  • Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in North and Central Florida today.
  • There is a high rip current risk for all Panhandle beaches today.
  • The wildfire threat remains moderate
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 10.90 feet, which is 2.24 feet below normal for this time of year.
