Meteorological Summary:
 
  • Scattered thunderstorms are expected across South Florida with isolated storms near the I-4 corridor.
  • A couple strong to briefly severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out—damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours possible.
  • There is a moderate rip current risk along the Panhandle beaches.
  • A low wildfire threat continues statewide.
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 11.28 feet, which is 2.03 feet below average for this time of year.
