Meteorological Summary:
- Scattered showers across North Florida today with some rumbles of thunder in the western Panhandle.
- Breezy easterly winds statewide (10-15 mph) with gusts to 25 mph in North Florida.
- Above normal temperatures continue in the Peninsula with high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s.
- Rain chances continue overnight in North Florida with showers also possible along the I-95 corridor of Central and South Florida.
- There is a moderate to high rip current risk for all Panhandle and Atlantic beaches.
- A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the Santa Fe River near Three Rivers Estates through Saturday.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.84 feet, which is 1.73 below normal for this time of year.
