Incident Name: Bomb Threat

Summary: Broward County Central Dispatch reported a bomb threat at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. A pilot reportedly informed an operator at the airport that a passenger on the aircraft stated that they had a bomb. The plane as well as the gate it was located at were temporarily evacuated until Broward County Bomb Squad investigated and deemed the threat was unfounded and normal airport operations resumed.

Summary: FHP reported that all Eastbound lanes of I-4 were closed near mile marker 114 due to a vehicle accident near Lake Helen.

Summary: Private citizen reported a potential hazmat release in Escambia County. An unknown milky white substance was reported in the storm drainage ditch while it was raining in Pensacola. DEP investigated and believe it to be runoff from a limestone roadbed that was recently built nearby.

Summary: Orange County Public School reported the release of approximately 1,000 gallons of raw sewage, due to a power outage, causing a force-main to malfunction in Wintergarden. The release did enter a nearby storm drain that discharges into an unknown creek. Clean up actions have been completed.

Summary: Volusia County SO reports that there was a bomb threat received via telephone at the Dunkin Donuts in Deland. The Dunkin Donuts and the Rodeo Whip nearby were evacuated while a search was conducted by the Volusia County Bomb Squad. Upon investigation it was discovered the threat was unfounded and the scene was cleared.

Summary: The AFRCC reported that there was a PLB activation coming from Lake Okeechobee, two miles from Belle Glade Airport. The source of the signal was found and silenced. No individuals were in distress.

Summary: A private citizen reported that his boat was hit in the middle of the night, causing 2-3 quarts of boat fuel to spill into Little Lake Jackson in Sebring. No clean up actions were reported.

Incident Name: NB Turnpike Road Closure

Summary: FHP advised that all northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike were closed at MM 62 in Fort Lauderdale due to a semi-truck that was fully engulfed. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Summary: The NRC received a report of a cruise ship that departed Miami receiving a bomb threat after it was already underway. The report stated that a search was conducted by security on board and the threat was unfounded.
