Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

High pressure in control- sunny and dry statewide today.
An isolated shower (10%) will be possible along the East Coast from Cape Canaveral to the south this evening and tonight.
Breezy northeast winds today and tonight at 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph along the East Coast.
Temperatures will remain above freezing tonight as temperatures begin to rebound.
There is an elevated rip current risk at nearly all Florida beaches today.
There remains a moderate to high wildfire threat for the state today due to breezy winds and low humidity.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.28 feet, which is 2.43 feet below normal for this time of year.
