Meteorological Summary:
- A Cold front has made it through North Florida and will move through Central Florida this morning and South Florida this afternoon.
- There is no threat of severe weather or flash flooding today.
- Scattered showers will move through with the cold front with an isolated thunderstorm in South Florida.
- Minor to moderate river and creek flooding is expected to continue across much of North Florida during the next several days. A list of current river flood warnings can be found here.
- Moderate flooding is ongoing for the Chipola River near Altha and the Alapaha River near Jennings. Major flooding is occurring at the upper Suwannee River near Benton.
- Moderate flooding is forecast to occur within the next few days for more areas along the upper Suwannee River and the Santa Fe River at Three River Estates.
- High rip current risk at most Gulf beaches, moderate risk for the Atlantic.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.80 feet, which is 1.93 feet below normal for this time of year.
