A truck carrying fertilizer dropped a drum (believed to be 55 gallons) onto the roadway, releasing fertilizer containing iron. It is unknown if the release entered any storm drains or waterways. No injuries, fatalities, fires or other releases were reported. FHP, Manatee County SO and Manatee County ECC responded.

The tank holds approximately 600 gallons of liquid ammonia and it is unknown how much has released at this time. Nearby Haines City High School was temporarily not accepting students and buses were diverted until the scene was deemed safe by FR.
