Clay County Public Libraries is excited to announce a new reading program for children - 1000 Books Before Kindergarten!
The goal of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is to promote reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers, and to encourage parent/child bonding through reading.
Reading logs for online registrations will be available for pickup at the library branch chosen as home library on registration form.
Green Cove Springs Library Branch will be closed August 21 - November 1 for repairs and lockers will be unavailable while work is being done.
While the Green Cove Springs Library Branch is closed, please visit any of our other library branch locations for any of your library needs as well as to return any library materials.
Fleming Island Library - 1895 Town Center Blvd, Fleming Island
The Creation Space at both the Fleming Island and Orange Park Libraries are OPEN!
All Creation Space users must be ages 18 and older.
All Creation Space users are required to participate an orientation class prior to using the space.
Visit the Creation Space on our website to see the available equipment, book an orientation appointment, or to reserve the equipment after completing the orientation.
National Friends of Libraries Week is October 15-21. The Clay County Public Libraries appreciate all that our Friends of the Libraries do to support our branches.

Is your child ready for a PAWsitive reading experience? Come to the library and read to a certified therapy dog. We have partnered with Clay Humane and their therapy dog teams to offer this special program to provide a comforting and judgement free reading experience.

It’s that time of year when we get to view the annual solar eclipse! Come join us to learn more about the solar eclipse and how to make solar eclipse viewers.
Orange Park Library - Saturday, October 14 at 10 a.m.
Be a SmARTie! is a program led by UF/IFAS Extension to encourage art-literacy for children grades K-5. Art activities are some of the best ways to promote literacy and provide children with authentic self-expression. Each session will include a story, short lesson, and art project.
Fleming Island Library - Thursday, October 19 at 4 p.m.
Stories, songs, rhymes, games, and crafts! Develop school readiness skills and engage your child's growing imagination. Designed for 3-5 year olds or those interested in school readiness skills.
Listen, Rhyme, Sing! Join us for stories, songs, and rhymes that explore early literacy skills. Designed for children 5 years old and under who enjoy picture books, music, and play.
Listen, Learn, Sing! Join Miss Katie at the Gazebo in Spring Park for a special, pop-up Storytime featuring stories, songs, and rhymes. Designed for children 5 years old and under who enjoy picture books, music, and play.
