Workshops Offer Residents Opportunity to Influence Downtown's Identity
KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The City of Kissimmee announces a series of workshops for its brand strategy project for the Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency (DKCRA) area. These workshops aim to develop and update Downtown Kissimmee's identity.
The DKCRA community workshops provide an opportunity for residents, business owners, visitors, and all Downtown Kissimmee stakeholders to share their opinions and feedback on the current branding and what they envision for the future.
Tom Tomerlin, Director of the Economic Development Department, stated, "We encourage everyone to attend these workshops to help shape the Downtown Kissimmee story." Samia Singleton, CRA Manager, adds, "Your perspectives on what stands out, what you are proud of, and what changes you want to see are invaluable in formulating a brand strategy for our downtown."
The workshops are designed to gather general ideas and perspectives from the community, such as marketing materials and future wayfinding, which will help create a refreshed and vibrant brand for Downtown Kissimmee.
To accommodate different schedules, the City is offering two identical workshops:
- Morning Workshop June 4 - 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Hart Memorial Library: 211 E. Dakin Ave
- Evening Workshop June 5 - 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Kissimmee Civic Center: 201 E. Dakin Ave
The City of Kissimmee encourages all interested parties to participate and share their ideas to help create a brand that truly represents the spirit and identity of Downtown Kissimmee. For those unable to attend in person, online surveys will be conducted over the next two months.

Talleres Ofrecen a Residentes Oportunidad de Influir en la Identidad del Centro de Kissimmee
KISSIMMEE, Florida - La Ciudad de Kissimmee anuncia una serie de talleres en su proyecto de estrategia de marca para el área de Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency (DKCRA). Estos talleres tienen como objetivo desarrollar y actualizar la identidad del centro de Kissimmee.
Los talleres comunitarios DKCRA ofrecen una oportunidad a los residentes, propietarios de negocios, visitantes e interesados en el centro de Kissimmee, de compartir opiniones y comentarios sobre la marca e imagen actual y lo que esperan para el futuro.
Tom Tomerlin, Director del Departamento de Desarrollo Económico, expresó: "Animamos a todos a asistir a estos talleres para ayudar a dar forma a la historia del centro de Kissimmee". Samia Singleton, Gerente de CRA, añade: "Su perspectiva sobre lo que destaca, siente orgullo y los cambios que desea ver tienen gran valor en la formulación de una estrategia de marca para nuestro centro de la ciudad".
Los talleres están diseñados para agrupar ideas generales y perspectivas de la comunidad, tales como materiales de marketing y wayfinding futuro, lo que ayudará a crear una marca renovada y vibrante para Downtown Kissimmee.
Para adaptarse a diferentes horarios, la ciudad está ofreciendo dos talleres:
- Taller de la mañana 4 de junio - 9:30 a.m. a 11:00 a.m.
