Friends,

I know firsthand how government decisions impact the lives of our families, friends and neighbors in this city we all call home. It is why I have challenged my team to reach out and engage with you directly. While we see many of you when you visit the Wilson Building, we meet a lot more of you in your neighborhoods at community meetings, school events and even our budget engagement forums.

I want to build on the momentum we’ve gained in these first few months. Which is why on Tuesday, we kicked off our RESULTS initiative to improve communities by making sure our government agencies are meeting the needs of our residents.

We can’t do it alone, though. We need your help. Tomorrow, we are hosting #SpringIntoAction Community Clean Ups in all eight wards. Volunteers and residents are getting together to improve our neighborhoods through community service. Bring a friend and volunteer alongside your neighbors to help us get ready for spring. Register for one of the Clean Ups here.

Together, we will deliver a fresh start for District residents.

Sincerely,

Mayor Bowser
