to be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FHI 360 Conference Center (1825 Connecticut Avenue, NW Washington, D.C. 20009).
The

Mother's Day is May 11th and the Eldercare Locator has
produced a new, shareable one-pager that
encourages sons and daughters of aging mothers to do more than just send
flowers or give her a call. Instead, it asks them to "really see how Mom
is doing" and provides them with consumer-friendly aging resources.
Please share this resource between now and Mother's Day. They also hope to prepare a one-pager for Father's Day as well.

Your Opinion: How Can We Best Help Older Adults?
The District of Columbia has been funded by the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women to create services for older victims of abuse. Your ideas are important to us and can help us understand how to better serve DC seniors. This survey will inform the work of the District’s Collaborative Training & Response to Older Victims (DC TROV). DC TROV is a partnership with Network for Victim Recovery of DC, Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Adult Protective Services, the Metropolitan Police Department, and the United States Attorney’s Office for DC. For questions related to this project or the survey please contact merry@nvrdc.org.
