Coming Soon - the new Georgetown Service Center will be located in The Shops at Georgetown Park and is tentatively scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The original Georgetown Service Center closed in May 2012, and DC DMV is pleased to be able to reopen the service center, which is in a larger space than the previous one. With the opening of Georgetown, there will be a DC DMV Service Center in every quadrant of the city.
On the first Thursday of every month, DC DMV hosts a live web chat with the agency's director, Lucinda Babers. Join her for the next chat on April 3, 2014 where she will answer DC DMV related questions from noon-1pm. Remember, DC DMV does not issue tickets. This agency handles ticket adjudication, driver services, vehicle services, and more. Visit the website at dmv.dc.gov for details.
If you have successfully appealed a ticket or have been notified that a ticket you paid has been voided, then you are due a refund. Typically, you should receive your refund in six to eight weeks from the date of your notification. However, if it has been longer than eight weeks, contact DC DMV. The best way to address your situation is to submit a service request online, and DC DMV will respond to you in writing once your information has been researched and reviewed.
