Do you know that DC DMV issues residential parking permits (RPP) on behalf of the DC Department of Transportation?

A parking permit enables residents to park in zoned areas without restrictions. If eligible, you can request, as well as renew, your RPP online.

In addition, if you've moved within the District of Columbia, you can also update your address online to ensure that DC DMV has your current information on file.

Take advantage of DC DMV's online and mail services that enable you to "Skip the Trip," and visit us on your schedule.

DC DMV's website, www.dmv.dc.gov, is  available daily from 6am-11:59pm, making it accessible outside of the agency's regular business hours.

Ticket Tips

Ticket Tips

If you have successfully appealed a ticket or have been notified that a ticket you paid has been voided, then you are due a refund. Typically, you should receive your refund in six to eight weeks from the date of your notification. However, if it has been longer than eight weeks, contact DC DMV. The best way to address your situation is to submit a service request online, and DC DMV will respond to you in writing once your information has been researched and reviewed.
