DCOA will hold a second Pre-Application
Conference for the Senior Transportation Request for Applications (RFA) on
Thursday, March 14 at 12:30 pm, 441 Fourth Street, NW, Suite 1117. DCOA is seeking
an entity to operate the Washington Elderly Handicapped Transportation
Program. Find out more about the grant and have the opportunity to ask
questions before the April 19 submission deadline. For more

 March is National Nutrition Month and the theme this year is "Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day." Make nutritional changes you can live with and follow daily. Effective April 12, D.C. Housing
Authority (DCHA) is suspending new enrollment to the housing waiting list in order to:
- Update the waiting list to make sure people already on
the list still want and need housing.
- Give people on the public housing waiting list a chance
to list which properties they want to live in.
- Make the waiting list process easier to understand and
manage.
DCHA estimates that as of January
2013 there were 70,000 families and individuals on the waiting list for housing
placement. For more information about your waiting list status call
202-535-1000. All new applications must be postmarked by April 12, 2013.
