As summer draws to a close, we want to wish all families a joyful return to school. This is a time of transition for our agency as well, as we prepare for new work funded in the Fiscal Year 2026 budget and a full schedule of DC 2050 work this fall.
We look forward to seeing you out at a community event soon, whether hosted by our office or others, and invite you to reach out with questions or meeting invitations for our staff. Thank you for your partnership.
Sincerely, Anita Cozart Director, DC Office of Planning

On September 10, the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District and Mayor Bowser invite you to attend the opening of Art Ave, an immersive, outdoor destination connecting the White House to Dupont Circle through public art, furnishings, and events. Art Ave will feature a stunning outdoor gallery of artworks by acclaimed artists that includes 13 large-scale, museum-quality sculptures and ground-floor window art located in and around Farragut Square. Art Ave is free and open to the public from September 2025 through January 2026. |
Here's a sneak peak of two of the pieces, Farragut Forest by Michael Enn Sirvet and Ripple Effect by HYBYCOZO, during fabrication and site preparation. Follow the Golden Triangle BID on social media to see more photos.

Art Ave is brought to you by the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District and funded in part by a Streets for People grant from our office. This is the latest chapter in both the Streets for People program and our work to revitalize downtown in concert with partners, implementing recommendations from the Downtown Public Realm Plan and Downtown Action Plan.
