Hello Serve Ambassadors,

As we enter the month of December, I want us to take the time to reflect on how we have stayed dedicated to service and community engagement. As a community, we make an incredible impact when we come together. We are proud to support the Mayor's Office of Community Affairs and partners at incredible events like the Safeway Feast of Sharing and Food & Friends Thanksgiving Meal Prep and Delivery. We are collectively committed to encouraging a more diverse and inclusive city!

This reminds us of the importance of giving back and supporting one another, especially as we approach the season of giving. We have had a moment to prepare our Snow Heroes, so they are equipped to help DC's most vulnerable residents this winter. This month, Serve DC is continuing its efforts to support those in need in our vibrant city. We are proud to offer opportunities for volunteering, donations, and community engagement to make a positive impact—whether through helping local organizations or lending a hand to our neighbors, every small act of kindness can create a ripple effect of positivity. As we transition into the holiday season, let us remember the spirit of generosity that defines our community. Together, we can make a difference and inspire others to join us in our efforts to continue to uplift one another and make Washington, D.C. a better place for all.

Next Wednesday, join us for Mayor Bowser’s 24th Annual Senior Holiday Celebration at 10 AM at the DC Armory. For more information, click here.

If you're interested in volunteering, I encourage you to visit our Galaxy Portal. There, you can explore an array of opportunities to help local organizations and youth who need community service hours. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference in our community.

In Service to One Another,
