💼 Michael is working in our administrative services/support services division as a mail room assistant.
Our summer employees will be with us until Friday, August 2! So, if you see them in the hallway or at the inspection station, give them a high five! 👋👋
#TeamDMV Hosts First Knowledge Test Boot Camp
In partnership with the Aquiline Group, LLC, DC DMV held its first DC Permit Prep Knowledge Test Boot Camp from July 9-11. The goal of this boot camp is to increase the number of teens and young adults who pass the Knowledge Test. With a comprehensive curriculum and three 2.5-hours classes, the boot camp is designed to help students gain a better understanding of:
🚗 The rules of the road,
🚗 Road signs and symbols,
🚗 Safety protocols and
🚗 Test-taking strategies.
Students will leave the boot camp with confidence, knowledge and prep materials, which will aid them in taking and passing the DC DMV Knowledge Test.
A special thank you to Associate Director Vanessa Bernard, Public Information Officer Chiderah Monde and Management Analyst Kellye Underwood for their hard work and dedication in getting this program up and running to be a success.
Also, thank you to the members of Support Services, DMV's IT and Motor Vehicle Inspector Aramis Banks for providing assistance to the teachers and students during the boot camp sessions.

👆👆 On Tuesday, June 25, members of #TeamDMV participated in Mayor Bowers's 13th Annual Senior Symposium at Ballou SHS. Over 1,000 of DC's active seniors were in attendance and received resources from various DC government agencies and vendors; DC DMV gave away some awesome giveaways. "I enjoy being the community outreach coordinator for my agency," says Demaria Corley. "The Correspondence Team and I help assist the seniors with DMV related information and resources. They love our giveaways as well and we often have to remind them to be patient [lol] and only one goodie bag per person."

👆👆 #ICYMI During the 2024 Region 1 AAMVA Conference in Quebec, Canada, DC DMV was presented with the 2024 Community Service Award for "DC DMV Supports Annual Senior Fest Event" for participating in the 2023 DC Senior Symposium, held on June 28, 2023 at Ballou Senior High School.
👆👆 #TeamDMV was well represented at the Annual Wellness Fair and Bazaar, held on Friday, June 28 at Zion Baptist Church. Live entertainment featuring DJ DBD, food on the grill and free wellness resources were available to our DC seniors.
