Thank You, Team DMV! The Hiring Fair was a Big Success!
Team DMV's hiring fair, held on Monday, January 23, was a tremendous success! We were able to fill 25 vacancies we recruited for as a result of amazing teamwork. Every role was important. THANK YOU to everyone who assisted by vetting resumes, scheduling interviews & confirming attendance, monitoring the parking lot, checking candidates in; welcoming interviewees to DC DMV and escorting them to their table, serving on an interview panel; ensuring the HR Team received the envelopes, taking pictures and posting on social media, and every single task that went into the hiring fair. Also, a special shout out to our Support Services Team for setting up the SW Service Center to prepare for the big day and putting the service center back together to prepare for Tuesday's opening. What a wonderful accomplishment for Team DMV! ❤️💙🤍

(Compliments from our Social Media Fans)
National Compliment Day was Tuesday, January 24. Thank you to everyone for going above and beyond to assist not only your internal customers, but also your external customers.
"Good morning! I just wanted to send a word of thanks to the folks at the Southwest Service Center who just made the process of moving from Virginia to DC so pleasant and easy. Ms. Middleton (operator 12686) and the gentlemen at the inspection station were all so friendly and kind. Ms. Middleton went well out of her way to help me through the process. I’d been dreading the move to DC (after 10 years in VA and 21 in PA) partly because I was worried the DMV experience would be long and tedious and, frankly, a bit scary. It was completely the opposite. I am so so grateful. Thank you!!" ~Arielle
"Just a note of appreciation for the workers at the @dcdmv in Southwest DC. They deal with a lot, but they also get stuff done. Thanks for making a hard process just a little easier." ~Jim Lokay [compliment for Karmeisha Cooper]
"@dcdmv I usually hate the DMV, long lines and rude people but Mrs. J.Rutherford was a joy to work with. I hope I get her every time [I] go. ~Monèt
"Shoutout to the workers at the @dcdmv inspection station on Half Street this morning. Efficient and friendly." ~Joel Riethmiller
"Shoutout to @dcdmv!!! I got my car inspected and my expired registration renewed in under 30 mins (total, both locations) in SW this morning. Everyone was so nice and it was super efficient.! I know being last minute isn't ideal but the service was top tier!" ~Ms. V, Esq.
"@dcdmv I want to shout of the employees of the DMV on M St SW… I have never had such a pleasant and professional experience dealing with motor vehicles until today!! Other locations can learn a lot from this staff!! @MayorBowser" ~Tina “Ghost Ma” Neal
"I just had one of the best experiences with the @dcdmv that I’ve had my entire life. Literally in and out within 15 minutes….I’m still in shock 😂" ~Cyrus Bakhshi [compliment for Walter Wadley]
"Hi, I just wanted to reach out to let someone know that, never in my years of going to DMVs or car inspection places in other states have I had such a good experience as I had today at the inspection station in between the wharf and navy yard. Everyone there was friendly and the service was quick and not at the expense of quality service. No one wants to take time off to go handle car things, but I actually left with a smile." ~NavyYardResident
