Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will perform sign structure inspection related to the SE/SW Freeway (I-695) Bridges Rehabilitation beginning on October 23, 2022, weather permitting. The inspection will occur along the SE/SW Freeway (I-695) and various ramps at the I-395 interchange.
This work is anticipated to continue during the nighttime only for approximately four (4) days, weather permitting.
Inspection hours:
October 23, 2022, to October 26, 2022 - 10:00 pm to 5:00 am
The sign structure inspection will be a mobile operation. Motorists should expect intermittent roadway and ramp closures of up to fifteen (15) minutes.
Traffic controls and signage will be in place to safely guide all motorist through the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the work zone, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel. The completed project will improve overall safety for, motorists and along and around the SE/SW Freeway (I-695) corridor.
