Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations through October 14, 2022
Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
Suitland Parkway under Martin Luther King Avenue, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Suitland Parkway under Martin Luther King Avenue, S.E. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Suitland Parkway under Martin Luther King Avenue, S.E. on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Eastbound 14th Street (Center Highway) Bridge over Potomac River and Ohio Drive, alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound 14th Street (Center Highway) over Potomac River and Ohio Drive on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Westbound 14th Street (Center Highway) Bridge over Potomac River and Ohio Drive, alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound 14th Street (Center Highway) over Potomac River and Ohio Drive on Thursday, October 13th, 2022, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Suitland Parkway under Alabama Avenue, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Suitland Parkway under Alabama Avenue, S.E. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Suitland Parkway under Alabama Avenue, S.E. on Friday, October 14th, 2022, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
