Temporary Lane Closures for Rehabilitation of 16th Street Bridge over Piney Branch Parkway NW Project from June 27 through July 01, 2022

Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) anticipates the implementation of the following temporary lane closures on the Piney Branch Parkway, NW (from Arkansas Avenue, NW to Beech Drive) and on the 16^th Street Bridge, as part of the on-going 16^th Street Bridge rehabilitation work, beginning on Monday, June 27, 2022, and to last through Friday, July 01, 2022, weather permitting to necessitate the following:

Monday 6/27 through Friday 7/01

One lane closure on Piney Branch Parkway (10AM-2PM) for installation of overhangs and demo shield

Ongoing

Phase 1 MOT on 16th Street Bridge – 2 Lanes closed

East Sidewalk Detour in place
Pedestrian are advised to use the West Sidewalk for north-south access across the bridge

Except for Phase 1 MOT implementation, all closures will take place Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, weekdays.

Motorists are urged to obey traffic advisory instructions and use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
