Temporary Ramp Closures on Northbound 14th Street SW off-ramp to Maine Avenue SW from May 1 through May 2, 2022
Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the northbound 14th St. SW off-ramp to Maine Avenue SW for geotechnical boring work from Sunday, May 1, 2022 through Monday, May 2, 2022, weather permitting.
The closure is needed for geotechnical borings associated with the Long Bridge Project. The contractor is authorized to work two shifts:
Shift One Sunday at 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Shift Two Monday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Traffic control devices will be in place. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs along 14th Street SW to be directed through Independence Avenue SW and 12th Street SW to access Maine Avenue SW. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the ramp closure. All users of the roadway are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
