Today's Press Release and Data
(WASHINGTON, DC) – On April 13, 2022, DC Health announced that for seniors, getting the COVID-19 boosters lowers the chance of life-threatening complications. To help ensure every senior knows when they can get boosted and how to access them for free, DC Health has begun reaching out to seniors across the city. When you receive an official call from DC Health the caller ID should say “DC COVID19 Team” or (202) 535-1996, however, some phone providers may accidentally mark this call as spam. If you don’t feel comfortable answering, DC Health will leave you a voicemail with instructions on how to return our call and get information about your booster doses. If you are able to answer, all DC Health calls will begin with a vaccine team member introducing themselves and identifying themselves as a representative of DC Health. They will then confirm your date of birth and current address. You will never be asked for your immigration status, social security number (SSN), bank account details or credit card numbers.
For the week of April 10, 2022, to April 16, 2022, there has been moderate impact on the healthcare system and the District's COVID-19 Community Level is Medium.
