Temporary Alley and Lane Closures for Cleveland Park Streetscape and Drainage Project Starting March 21, 2022
(Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT announced that as part of the Cleveland Park Streetscape and Drainage project, the contractor will begin construction along the Porter Street NW and Ordway Street NW alleys. This phase of construction will include temporary alley closures, temporary parking lane closures and temporary parking lot exit closures at the shopping center at Connecticut Avenue and Ordway Street beginning March 21, 2022, weather permitting.
The contractor is approved to work from 7:00am – 7:00pm daily, Monday through Friday. In addition, there will be bus detours and or bus stop locations as described below.
Temporary WMATA bus detours will include the following:
Relocation of Metrobus routes H4, D32 and W47 will detour eastbound in the direction of Brookland and Columbia Heights Stations, starting on Monday March 21, 2022, and will remain in place for seven weeks, weather permitting.
Bus stops between 34thStreet and Connecticut Avenue will be missed during this period. Customers can board at either of the bus stops at Porter Street & 35th Street or Porter Street and Quebec House Apartments, beginning on Monday March 21, 2022, and will remain in place for seven weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to guide motorists, cyclist, and pedestrians safely through the work zone. All users of the roadway are advised to stay alert, be observant of signage and expect delays while traveling in this area.
