Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Preventive Maintenance on February 28 through March 5, 2022
(Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning February 28th through March 5th, 2022, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over Potomac Parkway- BR.1200, single lane closure needed for eastbound and westbound on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Two lanes will always be opened for traffic in both directions. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be in effect for 24 hours, weather permitting on Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
14th Street over Potomac River- BR. 170-1, single lane closures needed on 14th Street Bridge. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
Massachusetts Ave over Rock Creek Parkway- BR. 114, single lane closures needed on Massachusetts Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
9th Street at Convention Center, BR.252- single lane closures needed on 9th Street at Convention Center. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
Pedestrian Bridge over Suitland Parkway near Stanton Road- BR.58, alternating single lane closures needed for north and southbound on Suitland Parkway. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
Pedestrian Bridge over Kenilworth Ave by Nash Street- BR.67, alternating single lane closures needed for north and southbound on Kenilworth Ave. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, February 28th through Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
