COVID Resources
The Disability Information and Assistance Line (DIAL) connects people with disabilities to COVID-19 vaccination and testing in their communities. DIAL was created through a partnership between the Administration for Community Living (ACL) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help older adults and people with disabilities get COVID-19 vaccines. It is a collaboration between USAging and a group of organizations serving people with disabilities, including the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL), and the National Disabilities Rights Network (NDRN). The hotline can also connect callers to services that promote independent living and address fundamental needs like food, housing, and transportation. DIAL support can be reached by calling 888-677-1199 or by emailing DIAL@USAgingandDisability.org ACL's COVID Website DIAL's Website.
Earlier this month the federal government launched COVIDtest.gov to provide all U.S. residents access to free at-home COVID test kits. The White House Office of Public Engagement advises that people without internet access and those needing assistance may order by calling 1-800-232-0233.
