Temporary Lane Closures for Routine Bridge Maintenance from January 24 through January 29, 2022  

 

(Washington, D.C.) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning January 24th through January 29th, 2022, weather permitting.

 

Operation hours and locations are listed below:

 

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over Potomac Parkway- BR.1200, single lane closure needed for inbound/outbound on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

Pedestrian Bridge over Arizona- BR. 140, single lane closures needed on Arizona Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

14th Street over Potomac River- BR. 170-1, single lane closures needed on 14th Street Bridge. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

Malcolm X over South Capitol Street- BR. 44, single lane closures needed on Malcolm X Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

Massachusetts Ave over Rock Creek Parkway- BR. 114, single lane closures needed on Massachusetts Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

9th Street at Convention Center, BR.252- single lane closures needed on 9th Street at Convention Center. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

14th Street over I-395- BR. 1134, alternating single lane closures needed for 14th Street. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

Kenilworth Ave by Nash Street- BR.67, alternating single lane closures needed for north and southbound on Kenilworth Ave. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, January 24th through Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
