Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Preventive Maintenance from December 27 through December 29, 2021
(Washington, D.C.) -The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventive maintenance construction activities beginning today, Monday, December 27, 2021 through December 30, 2021, weather permitting. Due to suspension of work in the District of Columbia, Thursday December 30, 2021 work will stop at 12:00 PM.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
9th Street at Convention Center, BR.252- single lane closures needed on 9th Street at Convention Center. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
14th Street over I-395- BR. 1134, single lane closures needed on 14th Street Bridge and underneath on I-395. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
Pedestrian Bridge over Arizona- BR. 140, single lane closures needed on Arizona Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
Kenilworth Terrace over Watts Branch- BR.47, single lane closures with flagging operation needed on Kenilworth Terrace. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
Military Road over Beach Drive- BR. 229, alternating single lane closures needed on Military Road. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
I-695 over Anacostia River- BR. 1417, single lane closures needed on I-695 over Anacostia River. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
Massachusetts Ave over Rock Creek Parkway- BR. 114, single lane closures needed on Massachusetts Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
Southwest Freeway over South Capitol- BR. 1103/1104, single lane closures needed on Southwest Freeway. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 27, 2021 through, Thursday December 30, 2021.
