Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspection on December 29, 2021
(Washington, D.C.) -The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
Malcolm X Avenue, S.E. under I-295 Service Road at Malcolm X Interchange, alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound Malcolm X Avenue, S.E. under I-295 Service Road at Malcolm X Interchange, followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound Malcolm X Avenue, S.E. under I-295 Service Road at Malcolm X Interchange on Friday, December 10, during the hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
