Corrected - Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations from December 11 through December 17, 2021
(Washington, D.C.) -The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning December 11th through December 17th, 2021, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:
Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over Potomac Parkway- BR.1201, single lane closure needed for Ramp A on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (Next to Kennedy Center). One lane of traffic will remain open during the duration of the day. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
Kenilworth Ave by Nash Street- BR. 67, alternating single lane closures needed for north and southbound on Kenilworth Ave. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, weather permitting Sunday, December 12th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
New York Ave. over Anacostia River-BR.76, alternating single lane closures needed on New York Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, weather permitting Sunday, December 12th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
Southeast Freeway over South Half Street, Capitol Street & Virginia Ave -BR. 1103/1104/1109, lane closures needed on Southeast Freeway. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, weather permitting Saturday, December 11th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
14th Street over I-395- BR. 1134, alternating single lane closures needed on 14th Street. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
11th Street over Anacostia River-BR.1415, alternating single lane closures needed on 11th Street over Anacostia River. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
Pedestrian Bridge over Arizona BR. 140, single lane closures needed on Arizona Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
Pennsylvania Ave over Anacostia River- BR.54, single lane closures needed on Pennsylvania Avenue. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
9th Street at Convention Center- BR. 252, single lane closures needed on 9th Street. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, December 13th through Friday, December 17th, 2021.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
