Temporary Lane Closures of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue NE from December 6 through January 6, 2022

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) continues roadwork along northbound and southbound Kenilworth Avenue and will close periodically access to northbound Kenilworth Ave. and DC-295N from Nannie H. Burroughs Ave starting December 6 through January 6 2022, weather permitting.

 

Detour signage will be installed to redirect the traveling public to DC-295N, and Kenilworth Ave. may be accessed via the Polk St., NE exit.  WMATA U7 bus stops will be closed along northbound Kenilworth Ave. and patrons are advised to use existing WMATA bus stops along southbound Kenilworth Ave. 

 

The roadwork will begin Monday, December 6, 2021 and continue through Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 9:30AM-3PM daily, weather permitting.

 

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.
