Underpass Lane Closures on Massachusetts Ave NW at Thomas Circle Beginning November 13, 2021

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to temporarily close the underpass through lanes, both eastbound and westbound, on Massachusetts Ave NW at Thomas Circle this weekend, Saturday, November 13^th and Sunday, November 14^th, 2021, weather permitting.

Should weather conditions prohibit work, the work will be conducted the following weekend. All traffic will be diverted to the street level local lanes on Thomas Circle N.W.

The closures are needed to allow crews to work on concrete pavement repairs on the underpass lanes. The contractor is authorized to work 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is weekend work only.

Traffic control devices and signs will be in place to detour traffic to the street level local lanes. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
