Temporary Lane Closure in Multiple Locations from November 15 through November 19, 2021

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections on November 15 through November 19th, 2021 beginning November 15 through November 19, 2021,weather permitting. Operational sites and times are listed below:

 

Potomac Parkway under the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound, right shoulder closure of Potomac Parkway under the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound followed by a left lane of Northbound Potomac Parkway under the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound followed by a left lane closure of Southbound Potomac Parkway under the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound followed by a right shoulder closure of Southbound Potomac Parkway under the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound on Monday, November 15, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound over Potomac Parkway, right lane closure of the Theodore Roosevelt Ramp for Westbound Constitution Avenue, N.W. and Northbound Potomac Parkway to I-66 Westbound over Potomac on Monday, November 15, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Kenilworth Avenue, N.E. under Parkside Pedestrian Bridge, alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Kenilworth Ave, N.E. under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge near Burnham Place, N.E.  followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Kenilworth Ave, N.E. under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge near Burnham Place, N.E.  followed by a right lane closure of the Southbound Kenilworth Ave, N.E.  service road under the Parkside Pedestrian Bridge near Burnham Place, N.E. on Monday and Tuesday, November 15 and 16, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

4th Street, S.W. under Southwest Freeway, alternating right and left lane closures of 4th Street, S.W. under Southwest Freeway with flagging operations being used on Tuesday, November 16, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Southwest Freeway over 4th Street, S.W., right lane closure of Eastbound Southwest Freeway over 4th Street, S.W. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound Southwest Freeway over 4th Street, S.W., on Wednesday, November 17, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

E Street Expressway under Virginia Avenue, N.W. and 21 Street, N.W., alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound E Street Expressway under Virginia Avenue, N.W. and 21 Street, N.W. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound E Street Expressway under Virginia Avenue, N.W. and 21 Street, N.W. on Thursday, November 18, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Ramp from I-66 to Whitehurst Freeway over Potomac Parkway and Rock Creek, narrowing/partial lane closure of the ramp from I-66 to Whitehurst Freeway over the Potomac Parkway and Rock Creek on Friday, November 19, during the hours of 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
