Temporary Lane Closures for Routine Bridge and Tunnel Inspections from October 25 through October 29, 2021 

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections beginning October 25 through October 29 2021, weather permitting.

 

Locations and Operational hours are listed below:

 

Anacostia Freeway under Pedestrian Bridge near 16th Street, S.E., right lane closure of exit ramp from Southbound Anacostia Freeway to Northbound I-695 under the Pedestrian Bridge near 16th Street, S.E. followed by a left lane closure of Southbound Anacostia Freeway under the Pedestrian Bridge near 16th Street, S.E. on Monday, October 25, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

South Capitol Street under M Street, alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound South Capitol Street under M Street on Friday, October 29, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting. 

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
