Temporary Right Lane Closure on I-295 Southbound between Exit 2 - South Capitol St./Malcolm X Ave./JBAB and Exit 1 - US Naval Research Lab/Blue Plains from September 21 through October 1, 2021

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the southbound right lane on I-295 between Exits 1 and 2 for roadwork paving beginning  September 21 through October 1, 2021, weather permitting.

 

The roadwork will continue Tuesday, September 21, 2021 and the closures will occur periodically through Friday, October 1, 2021 from 7AM-2PM daily, weather permitting.

 

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.
