Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Maintenance Activities from September 20 through September 24, 2021

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventive maintenance construction activities beginning September 20 through September 24, 2021, weather permitting.

 

Operation hours and locations are listed below:

 

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over Potomac, single lane closures for both eastbound & westbound on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Lane closures will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

I-395 over 4^th Street, single lane closure with flagging operation underneath on 4^th Street. Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

Ramp C over I-395 & 9^th Street over I-395, single lane closure needed for the ramp underneath (I-395) and on-top (9^th Street). Lane closures will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

I-695 over Anacostia River and Anacostia Drive, single lane closure needed for the northbound side of I-695 over Anacostia River. Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

I-395 over Potomac River, single lane closures on I-395 alternating between east and westbound. Lane closures will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

Klingle Road over Rock Creek, alternating single lane closures with flagging operation on Klingle Road. Lane closures will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Tuesday, September 21 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

 

Kenilworth Ave by Nash Street, alternating single lane closures needed for north and southbound on Kenilworth Ave. Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

10^th Street over CSXT Railroad, single lane closure needed on 10^th Street over CSXT Railroad.  Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

10^th Street over D Street and L’Enfant Promenade, single lane closure needed on 10^th Street over D Street and L’ Enfant Promenade.  Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

10^th Street SW over I-395, single lane closure needed on 10^th Street over I-395.  Lane closure will be during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00PM, weather permitting on Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24, 2021.

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
