Temporary Closures on I-295 Northbound from September 10 through September 14, 2021

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadway to perform construction activities along the I-295/DC 295 corridor starting from September 10 to September 14, 2021, weather permitting. 

 

The specific lanes and closure hours are listed below:

  • Single lane closure on I-295 northbound between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:30am to 2:30pm on September 10th  
  • Single lane closure on I-295 northbound between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 7:00am to 3:00pm on September 11th
  • Single lane closure on I-295 northbound between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:30am to 2:30pm from September 13th to September 14th

 

All traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane is closure. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
