Temporary 
Closure of Kenilworth Avenue/Polk Street Exit Ramp to Northbound DC-295 on July 30 through Tuesday, August 3, 2021

                   

(Washington, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the exit ramp off northbound Kenilworth Ave at Polk Street NE to get on to northbound DC-295 beginning Friday, July 30, 2021, weather permitting.

 

Traffic will be advised to detour to the next exit north of Eastern Avenue to access northbound DC-295.  A Variable Message Board (VMS) will also be stationed north of Nannie H Burroughs Avenue to advise traffic of the option to use the prior exit ramp off northbound Kenilworth Avenue at Lane Place to northbound DC-295.

 

The following roadwork will be ongoing daily during the working hours of 7AM - 2PM, beginning on or about Friday, July 30, 2021 through Tuesday, August 3, 2021 excluding Sunday, August 1, 2021, weather permitting.

 

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.
