Temporary Closure and Detour of Metropolitan Branch Trail Between M and Q Streets NE Starting July 26, 2021

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) i is advising all stakeholders to expect the temporary closure of the Metropolitan Branch Trail between M St and Q St NE. The trail closure began on Monday, July 26, 2021, and will be in place for approximately two weeks. The trail closure will be in effect overnight between 11pm and 7am Monday through Friday.

This overnight trail closure is necessary to remove overhead scaffolding protection from the trail for adjacent construction at 202 Florida Ave NE.

Trail users are advised to use Harry Thomas Way, Eckington Place, Florida Avenue and 2^nd St NE to reconnect to the trail.
