(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for routine bridge and tunnel inspections on July 7 and July 8, 2021, weather permitting.
DDOT will temporarily close lanes at the following locations:
Kenilworth Ave NE under the pedestrian bridge near Douglas Street NE, alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Kenilworth Ave NE under the pedestrian bridge near Douglas Street NE followed by a right lane closure of northbound Kenilworth Ave NE under the pedestrian bridge near Douglas Street, N.E. on Wednesday, July 7 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Kenilworth Ave NE under the pedestrian bridge near Hayes Street NE, right shoulder closure of northbound Kenilworth Ave NE under the pedestrian bridge near Hayes Street NE followed by a left lane closure of northbound Kenilworth Ave NE under pedestrian bridge near Hayes Street NE on Thursday, July 8 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
