Temporary Single Lane Closure on SE/SW Freeway I-395 Westbound over 4th Street SE from June 27 to July 7, 2021

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to conduct bridge preservation activities on westbound I-395 over 4th Street SE from June 27  to July 7, 2021; weather permitting.

This work will require the temporary closing of the westbound travel lane of I-395.

The lane closure will be installed after the evening rush hour 6:00pm and removed before the morning rush hour 5:30am daily. Motorists in this corridor can expect some delays, but DDOT does not anticipate the lane closure will significantly impact the flow of traffic.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.

Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
