DDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closures on Beach Drive NW from June 14 through June 16, 2021

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close one alternating lane of Beach Drive NW between the Zoo Tunnel and Shoreham Drive NW between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm from June 14 thought June 16, weather permitting.

 

This lane closure is necessary to install new lighting conduits as part of the Rock Creek Park Multi-Use Trail and Pedestrian Bridge project.

 

Flaggers will be available to manage traffic around the work zone. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling around this work location.

 

Once completed, the Rock Creek Park Multi-Use Trail and Pedestrian Bridge project will improve accessibility and connectivity to Rock Creek Park with improvements such as new and reconstructed trails, and a new 110-foot pedestrian bridge south of the Zoo Tunnel.
