DDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closures on East Capitol Street SE for Bridge and Tunnel Inspection on June 15 and 16, 2021 

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections beginning June 15 2021, weather permitting.

 

The operational hours and locations are below:

 

East Capitol Street SE under 35^th Street NE, alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound East Capitol Street, S.E. under 35th Street, N.E. followed by a right lane closure of the Westbound East Capitol Street, S.E. under 35th Street, N.E., on Tuesday, June 15 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

East Capitol Street SE under CSXT Railroad., alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound East Capitol Street, N.E. under CSXT Railroad followed by a right lane closure of the Eastbound East Capitol Street, S.E. under CSXT Railroad, on Wednesday, June 16 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

All traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane is closure. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
