Temporary Right Lane and Ramp Closure on I-295 Southbound between Nannie H. Burroughs Ave. NE and Eastern Ave. NE starting June 10, 2021

                   

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) continues roadwork along the Kenilworth Avenue service roadways and will close the ramp from the southbound service roadway to I-295 southbound and the right lane on I-295 between Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave. NE and Eastern Ave. NE.

 

The roadwork will begin Thursday, June 10, 2021 and will continue through Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (excluding Saturday/Sunday) from 7AM-2PM daily, weather permitting.

 

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.

 

All traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane is closure. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
