DDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Closures on I-295 Northbound and Southbound for May 17 through June 5, 2021

Temporary Closures on I-295 Northbound and Southbound for May 17 through June 5, 2021

     

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close double lanes on the following roadways to perform construction activities along the I-295/DC 295 corridor beginning May 17 through June 5, 2021, weather permitting. 

The specific lanes and closure hours are listed below:

  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00am to 3:00pm from May 17th to May 22nd
  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from May 17th to May 22nd
  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00am to 3:00pm from May 24th to May 29th
  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from May 24th to May 29th
  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00am to 3:00pm from May 31st to June 5th
  • Double lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from May 31st to June 5th

Traffic controls, including signage, will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians safely through the work zone. All users of the roadway are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and work zones while traveling in this area.
