Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections from May 10 through May 14, 2021
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections beginning May 10 through May 14, 2021, weather permitting.
The operational hours and locations are defined below:
14th Street, SB (I-395) over Potomac River and Ohio Drive, left lane closure of 14th Street Southbound (I-395) over Potomac River and Ohio Drive followed by a right lane closure of 14th Street Southbound (I-395) over Potomac River and Ohio Drive on Monday, May 10 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
14th Street, NB (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio Drive, left lane closure of 14th Street, Northbound (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio Drive followed by a right lane closure of 14th Street, Northbound (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio on Tuesday, May 11 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
14th Street, NB (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio Drive, right lane closure of 14th Street, Northbound (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio Drive followed by a left lane closure of 14th Street, Northbound (I-395), over Potomac River and Ohio on Wednesday, May 12 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
Ramp that connects Northbound Center Leg (I-395) to Massachusetts Ave, N.W. via 2nd Street, N.W. under E Street, N.W., and Northbound Center Leg (I-395) under the E Street, N.W., and Southbound Center Leg (I-395) under E Street, N.W., right lane closure of the ramp which connects Northbound Center Leg (I-395) to Massachusetts Ave N.W. via 2nd Street N.W. under E Street, N.W., followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Center Leg (I-395) under E Street, N.W., followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Center Leg (I-395) under E Street, N.W. on Friday, May 14 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
