DDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Closure on Kenilworth Avenue Southbound Service Road from May 3 through May 15, 2021

Temporary Closure on Kenilworth Avenue Southbound Service Road from May 3 through May 15, 2021

(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes and shoulders on the following roadways to perform construction activities along the I-295/DC 295 corridor. The work will run from May 3 through May 15, 2021, weather permitting.

The specific lanes and closure hours are as follows:

Alternating single lane closure on Kenilworth Ave southbound service road between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 7:00am to 3:30pm from May 3^rd to May 8^th
Alternating single lane closure on Kenilworth Ave southbound service road between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 7:00am to 3:30pm from May 10^th to May 15^th

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the work area. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
