Temporary Lane Closure at Pedestrian Bridge over Kenilworth Avenue At Lane Street NE from April 30 Through May 21, 2021
(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct bridge preservation and repair activities on the pedestrian bridge over Kenilworth Avenue near Lane Street NE, beginning April 30 through May 21, 2021, weather permitting.
The work entails partial closure of the northbound shoulder lane – the service road is the only area being impacted by this activity.
This work will be performed Monday through Saturday, weather permitting. Work will take place after the morning rush hour at 9:30 am and all traffic controls will be removed before the evening rush hour 3:30 pm.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the work area. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
