DDOT TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closures on I-295 Northbound and Southbound for April 26 through May 15, 2021

Temporary Lane Closures on I-295 Northbound and Southbound for April 26 through May 15, 2021

 

(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes and shoulders on the following roadways to perform construction activities along the I-295/DC 295 corridor beginning April 26 through May 15 2021, weather permitting. 

 

The following operational hours for each closure are posted below :

  • Two lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from April 26th to May 1st
  • Two lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from May 3rd to May 8th
  • Two lane closures on I-295 northbound and southbound (Alternating NB & SB) between Nannie Helen Ave NE and Benning Road NE starting at 9:00pm to 5:00am from May 10th to May 15th

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
