Highlights (April 12-April 23)
Highlights include:
- Since March 30, 2020, the COVID-19 Health and Medical Branch has continued to support COVID-19 diagnostic sampling in the District, as of April 20, 2021, the District has supported 537,252 samples. The number of samples has increased by 12,886 since last reported on April 7.
- This week, the Health and Medical Branch launched Test Yourself DC, a free COVID-19 at Home Testing Program that allows individual 18 years of age and older to pick up kits at 16 library locations across the city and test yourself at home without having to wait in line. For more information about this program, visit: testyourself.dc.gov.
- As of April 16, 2021, the District has administered 422,000 vaccine doses, which is an increase of 78,570 vaccine doses since last reported on April 2. 15.7% of District residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- This week, the Health and Medical Branch announced the launch of vaccination for Homebound Residents. To register for an at-home COVID-19 vaccination appointment, residents should call the COVID-19 call center at 1-855-363-0333.

Today's Press Release and Data
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The District’s reported data for Thursday, April 22, 2021 includes 101 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 47,141.
The District reported that one additional resident lost her life due to COVID-19.
Tragically, 1,099 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
